African American Cultural Complex
Then we went to the A.A.C.C. . . I learned more about the African American culture. They have four huts of history. Some of this stuff was unbelievable. They had inventor’s first inventions up there. One lady has her name on the dollar bill. It also talked about the Negro League. A female runner with the last name Joyner was up there too. The huts have tapes that talk about things too. And it was like a tropical rain forest theme.
The Pool
The pool was fun. I dove in a couple of times. I played Marco polo too. Then we held our breath under water. Most of the time I stayed in the shallow end. Everyone else had a water gun fight. I really enjoyed the pool. Everybody got in except Keyon and Bear. I jumped in the 8 feet. After I Jumped in I tried to swim across
North Carolina State University
After we came from North Carolina A&T University we went to North Carolina State. It is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. North Carolina State also has a huge campus. On one side of it is the living side and the other side is the working side. It is mostly made of brick. Their ground is made of brick also. That made me mad though because it was too many bricks. It made me want to rebuild that whole campus. They have a whole of engineering buildings. They have almost every kind of engineering there.
North Carolina A&T University
Yesterday we took a tour of North Carolina A&T University. I really enjoyed the campus there. I even got an apple off of one of the apple trees there. North Carolina A&T University has graduated the most African American engineers in the country. North Carolina A&T University is a huge college. It is way bigger than Norfolk State University. When we went inside their conference room they talked to us about the college. Then they showed us the new gym that they were building. An astronaut named Ronald McNair went there. Lastly we went in there cafeteria and ate.

Martial arts
Today we had martial arts. It was boring to me. It didnt help me at all. For my opinion i thought it was dumb. After that we did chain push-ups. it wasn't that hard this time though. Then we had to run sprints. After we ran the sprints we ran a lap and came back home. I didnt understand the martial arts though. That didnt even seem like martial arts.
shaw university
Today we went to shaw university. It was a great experience for me. We took a tour on the campus but , it wasn't all that great. The people who showed us the campus were nice though. Shaw had lots of historic memorials and graves. We also saw the chapel and biology center. Shaw is a historically black college. Shaw has a bigger campus than norfolk state. Shaw has great programs there. I really enjoyed going to shaw university.

The 5th day at camp
Community Service Today in camp we picked up trash in the Brambleton community . We found tons of garbage. The worst thing we found was a blunt rapper. While cleaning up ,we met up with this lady that gave us huggies ( little juices) for cleaning her yard. When we went down one street a pit bull almost got loose. Brambleton is a dirty neighborhood. The clean up was okay but it was nasty.
